How to handle file incompatibility issues

MetaStock and The Downloader create temporary files when accessing security data files. These files are version specific, so if you have different versions of MetaStock and The Downloader the programs cannot access the data at the same time. For example, if you have a chart open in MetaStock 6.52 and try to access the datasheet in The Downloader 7.22, you would get an error message. 

To delete all of the MetaStock temporary files, search the hard drive for: ~msfl.* and delete the files that are found.
