What does "43T" mean in the Volume field for futures?

    Hi,

I'm new to quotecenter and I'm overwhelmed by all this Reuter's convention. I loaded up the symbol hk@HSI.1 in MarketWatch and get "43T" for the volume...

What is this "43T" supposed to mean? 43 Trillion??? Not possible even in dollar value... Is there anyone who could help me with this?

    Thanks a million!

    Laputa

Typically 'T' means 1000 on old-style broker platforms but I haven't seen that sort of abbreviation in years.

The Hang Seng Index on the HKEx only trades around 30,000 - 50,000 volume so I'd be pretty confident that T in this case means thousand.

Within QuoteCenter you can click View>Datalayer Properties and change the Volume Display to Absolute if you want to see the entire number.
