Is anyone using this plugin successfully?

If interested in the Elliott analysis, the add-in is great value compared to specialised software. The learning curve is very steep and the quantity of indicators and information large. I personally do not trust Elliot Wave analysis for trading and would not recommend it.

Would like to add few more observations:
a) System tests are based on confirmed signals (Pivot Points) and are therefore based on hindsite, as Alphaomega readily admit; their true utilisation is to see if a certain range, say 8%, is yielding profits after the need for confirmation, i.e. going above or below the previous pivot point (all this is clearly explained in the manual).
b) There are loads of custom indicators with the package and this is a big plus because it allows you to play around with ideas.
c) The Expert comments are good but require and should be supplemented with your own understanding of the miriad of indicators available.
The bottom line is the package is very good and excellent value for its cost (better than the majority of add-ons).

Minnamor, I'm glad that you have success using AO.I have heard comments from other users with different results.

I have not used this add-on due to issues with Robert Tasse
on another forum.

But for other users here is another Add-on from a reputable software provider

I use Advanced Get EOD

Had a look at the Prognosis MS plug-in. There is just no comparison with AlphaOmega. The former includes only one expert with pivot points identification. AlphaOmega has many templates, experts, explorations and indicators. If you buy AlphaOmega (half the price of Prognosis) you get the password to unlock the formulae. Not bad but, as I said, the learning curve is steep.

I do not know the plug in per say and I'm interrested to know what problems other users have found with it. I'm sure this would at least let other people know what the problems are and allow to make a decision on their own.

I recently installed the AlphOmega EW plug-in. I also use the Elliott Wave software from eSignal (Both the Advanced GET end of day package and the eSignal Real-Time with Advanced GET studies). Does anyone know why the major wave counts would not be similar between the Advanced GET software and the AlphaOmega software? I was hoping there would be an obvious correlation between the two, but so far I can't find any. I'm confident with the Advanced GET Elliott wave counts, so is there something I have done wrong in the setup of AO?

Alright I have already made a fool of myself once on this thread so I can go for another one ...

Here is what I think:

The problem with elliot wave is that there are different ways to count waves. Even among the elliott waves experts, there are arguments as to how one should count these waves.

This to me would explain why one software is completely different than the other without making one a fraud ...
I would hope that these plug ins would specify and explain how they count and find their waves so that you can undertsand the way they are found and decide wether or not you agree with the defiition used ...

Hopefully that makes sense and answer your question.

Tom Joseph who created the Elliot wave osc for Advanced Get, describes it on the esignal web site. He gives tutorials on all of the features of AGet.

He sold out of Trading techniques to E signal and now is developing another software package

I actually use the alpha omega add-on I find it extremely useful, but always use common sense in trading.

As already mentioned there is a huge learning curve and many many late nights of studying. But having stydied the manual the manuals and use sound trading knowledge I have been quite successful.

The biggest problem I have is getting teh triggers quite late. So now I am automating the system to allow me to get notifications earlier.

I tested out the Elliot Wave program from Prognosis and found it to have no predictive value whatsoever. It's hard to get two Elliot wave experts to agree on a wave so I can't imagine how a software program can use it to give signals on individual stocks.
