I work in the power industry and we use a couple of software packages to help us manipulate our trend data.

PI by OSISoft, and ParcView by Capstone Technology.

I would highly recommend that (if possible) the folks that write this software look at how they are able to manipulate things such as scale, time frames, etc. I bought this software to see if my trend viewing ability in the power industry might translate to an ability to read these trends, since I have been looking at real time data for years.

There are much better ways of handling dates, times, and scaling, than are being done here.
