data dates reversed!

Hi,

I am using MS 9 Pro. I download data from a local data vendor.

Interesting problem: The start and end dates of the data are shown reversed when I see them in the Open dialog box. Same problem with using explorations, it just wont work.

However when i open the data folder using Metastock Downloader, the dates appear in the right order.

What can I do?

The MetaStock format not only has daily data fields (Date OHLCVOI) but the index files (MASTER, EMASTER, XMASTER) also includes a First Date and Last Date field too.

It's quite possible that your data vendor has the first/last dates mixed up and The Downloader compensates/reads from the actual daily data.

Report it to your local data vendor and ask them why - they're the ones creating the data in MetaStock format.
