When i create a new security using metastock downloader, to be more precise a stock share, and i try to paste the data concerning price and volume fluctuation from excel to the Downloader, for some reason it rounds up all prices. For example, if the closing day price is 1,43 in the excel sheet it is shown in downloader as 1,00. Thanx in advance guys, i am a new investor and i desperately need help removing this snag

Thank you for the example, as it has likely shed some light on the problem.

It is possible that the commas are being mishandled when copy/pasting from Excel into the DownLoader.  Try opening your Control Panel-->Regional and Language Options and click "Customize".  Try changing the "decimal symbol" from a comma to a period, and change the "digit grouping" from a period to a comma and click Apply/Ok.  Restart all relevant applications and try copy/pasting again.

That said, the safest way to move data is to actually use the Tools-->Convert command in The DownLoader.

I did as you told me and what actually happened is that the right prices have been pasted to Downloader but unfortunately not excatly. For example, a closing price like 1.43  appears on Downloader as 143.000. If you have any ideas on what should i do, please tell me.
The other way you described me to get info to downloader, didnt exactly work with the excel file I used. An error message appeared, according to which there is no data in this file. So, is there a particular way how data should appear in an excel file so that Downloader could get it right?
