I have Metastock Professional  OFFLINE  MODE ver9.0 AS shown in my desktop short-cut  icion

when I click the icon to open the program it says"pls wait while Windows configures METASTOCK eSignal".

I did not subscribe to any real time data how come it looks for real -time data ?

This problem did not happen in the past.

Any one can adv how to solve?

If the shortcut is truly offline mode it should not be attempting to do anything with eSignal.  If you right click on the Shortcut and click Properties, make sure that the "Target" line has the following (Path may change if you installed to a different drive/folder):

"C:\Program Files\Equis\MetaStock\MsWin.exe"  /l /e

what if I del the "Equis real time configuration" item on the MS ver 9 file,will this action helps so that I still can run MS on off line mode to check charts on EOD data.

I would not delete any portion of the software.  You may want to click Tools-->Options-->Realtime within MetaStock and uncheck "Enable Realtime".

I unchecked :enable realtime",but the next day when I open MS ,this is check again,how do I save it PERMANENTLY UNCHECKED?

i am new to this forum, and joined because after a year of problem free use i have come across a problem now.

i am running windows XP SP3 on a P4 2.6Ghz 512RAM computer with Metastock 9.

i usually use the offline mode to analyze EOD data and have been doing this for a while but since yesterday when i start the offline mode i now get the following error:

MetaStock Professional: Mswin.exe - Application Error

The instruction at "0x1001410a" referenced memory at "0x09115e82". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
____________________________________________________________________________

clicking on either option terminates the program...
