I am using Downloader for Windows v9.0 and Metastock 9.0 EOD. This is my first attempt to update the symbol database on my laptop - ordinarily I copy my data from my desktop, but the desktop recently died. The error I get updating the symbol database both in Metastock and in Downloader: is "Invalid patch file sym90common.rtp." The file itself contains the following message: "Bad Request (Invalid Header Name)".

Note that Downloader works fine for downloading prices - just cannot update the symbol database.

Would welcome a solution..... Thank you!

9.0 should work, but we actually no longer update the 9.0 symbol database files so I am not sure you would gain much by doing this.  9.1 (which is a free update to 9.0 customers assuming we still have stock for it) is still maintained.
