    Jason-

This message was posted twice... once tacked onto a thread that was nearly a year old. Please read the rules regarding the most efficient method to get the answers you are looking for.

In MS, you can pull up the security by name also. This is perhaps the easiest way to locate the symbol... a backward search. In this case, Calpine Corporation. You can also pull it up as CPNLQ... just drop the us; prefix.

To update your symbols, use TOOLS | Update symbol database.

Assuming you have access to the N. American securities

pull up the security by name

pull it up as CPNLQ... just drop the us; prefix.

Both of these methods work for me. I am using QC data and MS 9.1.

I am not certain if pink sheets are by default in the QuoteCenter symbol database. However, it is very simple to add a symbol into the symbol database. Within the File>Open menu click the Tools menu in the upper right corner and click New Symbol and fill in the appropriate information.

Calpine is already in the symbol database... just load it up. Sill, Pyradius shows us how to add a security not listed. Thanks!

    Not a pinksheet issue
