    Forum repairs

Are these posting problems in the forum ever going to be fixed?

    1.  The backspace & delete keys often don't work.

    2.  The Arrow & PgUp/PgDn keys don't work.

    3.  There's no easy way to post code.

    4.  There doesn't seem to be a way to attach a chart/graphics.

    5.  The RSS doesn't work with a Yahoo home page -- Date order is all mixed up, you never know if you're seeing new or old messages.  Half the time the subject/title doesn't show up.

    6.  Also, the slowness is abysmal, and I'm on fast DSL.

I'd trade the three dozen "smiley" face feature for any one of these being fixed...

I can't speak for most of those issues, but the Page Up/Page Down issue is an issue of frames, I believe, not that these buttons do not work.  If your mouse was clicked inside the body of the forum posts, then the buttons do not work.  If you click your mouse around the lighter blue edges of the screen (Outside the actual post frame) then these buttons should work.

    Monkey trap

Ever heard of the Monkey trap?

"A southeast Asian monkey trap is constructed from a hollow gourd with a single opening just large enough for the monkey's hand to grasp the tempting bait of fruit. Finding the bait, the monkey also finds that it cannot remove both its hand and the fruit. The trap works because the monkey refuses to let go of the fruit even as disaster approcahes."

    Mr Equis:
Let go of this useless forum format, and go back to PHP-based software before it is too late...

    Re: Monkey trap

Maybe the official forum could be hosted on Yahoo instead...code text wouldn't be a problem, and I *think* graphics can be attached (have to confess, it's been awhile since I've spent time on one, but they seemed to work well.)

It could drive ya nuts, reaching for the PgDn, then having to switch to the mouse.  And, having the DEL and BackSpace just plain NOT WORK sometimes when typing (I touch-type) is REALLY crazy-making.

No wonder msg traffic is down...
