    Traders' Consortium

Traders' Consortium is a forum for investors and active traders.  It is not trading platform specific, but it does include an area for such discussions.  The site is php based, not aspx, and is using the IPS software suite which has been around forever.  The point is... stability.

As with all things new, there are a lot of kinks to work out.  The future direction is still being trail blazed, but I hope that you will be a part of helping to build it up.  It would be great to hear any ideas that you have concerning content or features.

I hope to build a "community" of traders and actually have some fun.  One big drawback that I've found to any company forum is that it will inevitably focus on support issues. The born again concept is simple: peer-to-peer support.

    Hope to see you there.

Me, too.  Just registered; thanks for setting it up.

When you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed. - Ayn Rand

    Re: Trader's Consortium

Trader's Consortium's (TC?) format is excellent. Stylish, fast, and one can even post MetaStock code without any of it getting chopped up. ;)

One can only hope that the guys at Equis eventually wake up and dump the current useless forum software for something useful, so that potential contributors such as myself can post again.

"I hope to build a "community" of traders and actually have some fun.  "
    Suspending that guy in http://tradersconsortium.com/community/index.php?act=members
why don't you share that fun with the  rest of us ?

FYI, Three years ago I copied his/her code from  http://www.guppytraders.com/Metastock%20Formulas/latest_formulas.htm and still trust  it.
Even ,In my official tour to some Countries (No need to mention them here) i met several traders with  it. (
What is wrong  in it ?

Storbite : " It would be great to hear any ideas that you have concerning content or features."
When " we " starts a forum in traders interest,( true ?)  When other members supports your action to suspend  fine, but  through voting it must be done, the reasons behind it.

    Re: Trader's Consortium

Hawk, if you are referring to Mr Patibanda S Chakravarthy, he deleted all his own posts both here and at TC's when no one seemed to appreciate them, and basically left.

Curiously, Mr Patibanda hasn't been missed since, until your arrival on the scene today. ;)

Hawk, I would be interested and amused to read more about your "official tour to some Countries".

    Dear Hawk-

What you are describing is Anarchist Democracy, a concept to which I do not subscribe.

    Re: Trader's Consortium

That's correct, Hawk/Patibanda, email addresses must contain legal characters. i.e., use your real email address, and don't try name@domain.com as it has been taken already by Mr Name at Domain.com. ;)

I look forward to your entertaining stories from your "official tour to some Countries".

    Re: Traders' Consortium

Seems to be intermittent; I haven't been able to connect for a couple of days either, but I got an email today saying there's a new post in a watched thread.

Still can't connect, though.  We'll just have to sit tight for a while.

    Re: Traders' Consortium

Network engineers are working on an internal DNS problem in Baltimore that should see resolution in a few hours. This should bring up our 'new' server. The TC administrative staff greatly appreciates your patience during this time.

At this time, we do not have a reliable timetable for full service availability of our server that is currently down. We realize that this is frustrating and unfair, and it is past the point of excuses or apologies. The TC administrative staff is equally frustrated and exhausted at the current situation, but rest assured that our priority lies in returning service to our customers, and secondly in determining the chain of events that led to this situation.

    Re: Traders' Consortium

Does your site have a static IP, if it is a DNS issue people might be able to connect with the IP instead of FQDN.

    Re: Traders' Consortium

    Hey V,

We're back up, but I wanted to say that we do have a static IP.  Beyond that, I don't know what useful information I can offer.  NOC's, tipping points and such are way out of scope of knowledge, though I'm thankful for the engineers that can work through problems such as these.
