    Plotting Symbols X days back

    Dear Members ,

    I want to know if there is any mechanism of poltting X days back from current day.

    Suppose today a signal was generated but i want to plot The symbol (say) 10 days back from day of generation. I dont want to use forward referencing.

    Can anyone help?

    ... but what you are trying to do IS forward referencing!

    If you could explain a little more about exactly what you are trying to achieve, then we might have some alternatives to crystal balls and chicken bones!

    Re: Plotting Symbols X days back

    Suppose My conditions for trade validates on a particular date(say today) which depends on the condition some days back. I want to put a symbol that days back from the day it generated signal (place on which current condition depends on) and plot the symbol only if the trade was valid.

    Hope this makes the clear...

    Re: Plotting Symbols X days back

    Use the Ref() function:
    Ref(signal,-SomeDaysBack)

    ...And beware of chicken bones - ask my dog, he'll tell you all about it! :)

    ref only takes constants and how to shift plotting symbol some days back from the day signal was encountered....

    I am asking that.
