    Formula Organzier

I haven't exported my .dll and related files for some time, but now am about to publish and can't because the FormOrg.exe is having an issue.  My MDK is a bit dated, but my MetaStock version  (7.22) is exactly as it was the last time I exported.  Before anyone asks, I use this dated version so the MetaStock files I publish for download are compatible with as many versions of MetaStock as possible.

Anyway, here is what happens.  Everything seems to export fine.  When I try to install the exported file however on another computer, it does not install the .dll to the C:\Program Files\Equis\MetaStock\External Function DLLs directory as it should.  I used WinZip to look inside the .exe install program and the .dll and path are there but it is not being installed.  Instead it appears in C:\Documents and Settings\lpc\Local Settings\Temp\~FO4E.tmp\External Function DLLs or some variation.  I have tried to install on several computers all with the same result.

I have never encountered this type of issue before and have kind of run out of ideas to try.  Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Re: Formula Organzier

I'm not as familiar with the FormOrg as I used to be.
You can check in the Formula Assistance section of the forum.

You could also contact Equis Support. I've heard of people having this problem before, but don't remember the solution. They should be able to help you out.

Sorry I can't be of any more help, my specialaty is the MDK.
Hopefully someone else can give you the answer.

    Re: Formula Organzier

    Thanks, Branden,

I will call support as you suggest.  The reason I asked here is that this is the FormOrg.exe that allows creation of the self-extracting .exe and installs as part of the MDK install.
