I'm interested in finding out about the external functions that the Power Pivots add-on made available. Is the "Mastering Metastock" PDF from MS 9.1 or earlier available online?  I was tols that it contained info about those functions. If not, is there another source for that information?

the manual that comes with PP+ will explain some of the exernal Functions, the PP+ user group at yahoo.com will also explain others.

I don't have access to the manual without buying the add-in. I know I have the right to return it if I don't like it.  I was just trying to avoid that hassle.

I've subscribed to the Yahoo group a short while ago. It seems to be essentially dormant at this point. I've gone through a lot of the messages here and there - most notably many of yours - but haven't found many giving the syntax of the functions with a "now you can do... which you couldn't do before" example.

The forum dll has been quite useful to me when I finally got my head around some of what the newly available functions offered. Of course there was also the advantage that I could make the results available to MS users without their having to spend more money.
