    Hi stockradar

To test weekly data you must change the periodicity setting for the data at the time you load data for the simulation. Data that has already been loaded for a previous simulation cannot be changed, so it’s necessary to remove all securities from the Add Securites window and start over.

At the bottom left of the Add Securities window you’ll find the Periodicity drop-down menu. Change that setting as required BEFORE clicking the Open button. If the Periodicity window is greyed-out then you’ll need to remove existing securities and select again before the menu will be enabled.

When you first go to Add Securities-->Local Data the box will be greyed out, but once you select some securities in a folder this option will become changeable.

In the post I pointed you to I said "If the Periodicity window is greyed-out then you’ll need to remove existing securities and select again before the menu will be enabled". That means that when you get to the "Select Securities" window of the new simulation you are creatng you'll need to "Remove All" securities and then use the "Add Securities" button to make a new selection. Change the Periodicity setting AFTER marking your selection and BEFORE opening that new selection of securities. If at first it doesn't work, try again until you get the sequence right. It's easy to do once you've been there but it can be frustrating to get the sequence of events right when you've never been through it successfully before.
