    MS in Virtual Environment (solved)

    Hello everybody,

Sorry to bring up old topic back. I really need to know, does the newest version of MS support virtual envirnment. My company going to migrate whole system under vmware view, that means all the machine that user will use will be a virtual desktop. And my company is planning to purchase multiple MS soon.

So, if it doesn't support that we might need to think of other soultion for us. But very soon, a lot of company going this sort of virtual environment. so, does MS do any thing for people like us?

    thanks

    Hi namee,

    Welcome to the Forum.

I'd start here : http://forum.equis.com/search/SearchResults.aspx?q=vmware and follow this up with a direct email to Equis support IF your question isn't answered...

    Hi wabbit,

Thanks for your quick reply. Well, from all the post i do realise that it is not easily possible to run MS on virtual desktops. Do you know, does Equis have plan to change activaion system that suit with virtual envirnment?

    thanks

    Re: MS in Virtual Environment

At this time, there are no plans to change from the current licensing implementation. If you want a more detailed explanation as to why, you can read the info at the following:

Re: MS in Virtual Environment (solved - Thanks to all)

    Hi Justin,

Thanks for the link you sent me...

Anyway, i already solve this issue for me... and tell you truth it wont break your software security. The VM where i install MS will only run in my computer not in other machine. and I believe you guys also want that as License agrement.

Thanks to everybody to help me.

    Cheers
