Why doesn't Equis data in

match (or at least come close to) what's on the NYSE data site

For example, today (17 Sep 07) Equis has 1,107,618,300 but NYSE reports 2,714,975,000

MarketWatch reports 1,106,573,000 at http://www.marketwatch.com/tools/marketsummary/, while Yahoo Finance reports 2,636,274,000 at http://finance.yahoo.com/marketupdate/overview.
