Describe your product as much as you can please.
You may post a topic for each product or service. One that's it ... If you have a new update, post it in the same thread as the original do not start a new topic.

We retain the rights to delete any unappropriate post. For example if you are selling something that has no connection with the forum. ForumAdmin@equis.com

Extra comments from Patrick

So I made a specific forum where you can advertise your product/service. Use it ... What this means is that I will be even more of a pain with you if you keep posting advertising comments in other threads. If someone needs support for your product, no problem answer them. If someone needs something your product can do, please refer them post a link to the post you created about that product in the Advertising Forum.

On a more personal side, I am a nice guy :D So do not hesitate to contact me before posting if you are unsure or if you need any help. If you contact me it actually will show me that there is more to the ad ... Also my advice is to carefully plan your thread and really use it as a showcase to your products .... This advertising forum could turn out great or go down the toilet ... It is up to you guys ...

Patrick

QCBackfill - QuoteCenter backfill data

Hi,
I have developed a small application which downloads backfill data from QuoteCenter.

The downloaded data is in Tick or Minute format. the data is highly customizable and can be feed into a number of different platforms including MetaStock.

You can download the software from:
http://www.volumedigger.com/QCBackfill.html

Your feedback is highly appreciated.

cheers
Investment Rules Via Genetic Programming

Genetic programming software can be used to find investment rules.
for all users interested in technical analysis and development of mechanical trading systems, I introduce my new software product Zen Dynamic Indicators v1.0.

These are innovative dynamic and nonlinear indicators, which can lead to a new quality of technical analysis and trading system development. More information here:

http://www.zentrader.de/html/indicators.html

The indicators are implemented as fast Windows standard DLLs, which can be integrated in many software development tools and trading platforms (e.g. Metastock using the MDK).

A demo version can be downloaded here:

I'm glad to announce my new software simulation product "Zen Monte Carlo Simulator v5.0".

The Zen Monte Carlo Simulator is a professional software product for chance evaluation, risk analysis and validation of mechanical trading systems.

Technically it is a lean and very fast Win32 implementation of the well-known Monte Carlo Simulation method. There are available german and english "stand alone" versions as well as an additional alternative standard Windows DLL component.

The two substantial functions are system simulation and data simulation.

In the context of the system simulation available systematical test results are used by a Monte Carlo Simulation stress test. Thus qualitatively more valuable results concerning the profits, but in particular also concerning expecting account drawdowns are achieved, as this would be possible with conventional linear systematical tests.

The data simulation makes it possible to generate synthetic, artificial data (Weekly, EOD, Intraday...), which can be used again for additional alternative systematical tests and the data simulation thus delivers a valuable contribution for validating mechanical trading systems.

So the Zen Monte Carlo Simulator is an additional tool for system development and test environment software like Metastock, which can improve the overall system development process of mechanical trading systems!

Website: www.zentrader.de

Mail to: info@zentrader.de

All information on my website is either in german (because I'm german developer from stuttgart, South Germany) and also in english language.

Bye,

Hello everyone,

We got many requests to support MetaStock with our CSSA
addon package so we are considering the possibility. I know that our indicators
enjoy a strong reputation for reliability that spread word-of-mouth throughout the Equis user community.

CSSA is cycle-based;
it uses a Causal Singular Spectrum Analysis technology that provides market
cycles with no lag! The cycles are built from the axes of maximum variance in
the data.

You’ll find a short
description of the indicators at the bottom of this post but there are chart
examples here: http://neuroshell.noxapredict.com/en_learn_more_cssa.htm

And you can download
a user manual:

http://noxapredict.com/free_downloads/Noxa%20CSSA%20Hands-on%20Tutorial%20for%20Neuroshell%20Trader%20v5.x.zip

Would you be interested by this thing? If you have any
question, please feel free to ask me.

Philippe

Noxa Analytics, Inc.

CSSA-Cycles

This indicator provides a full wave-composite picture of the
market. The cycles are designed to be a direct reflection of the price so that
they don’t lag. In other words, you will be able to quickly anticipate turning
points independently of the time-frame.

CSSA-Slope and Trendlines

These indicators are derivatives from CSSA-Cycles; they are
particularly useful in identifying and confirming the direction of momentum
behind a move.

CSSA-Long and Short Entries

Signals are triggered by CSSA-Cycles from its bases and
peaks. A causal lead and filtering features have been added to compensate for
inherent execution lags so that you can make the most of each market move.

CSSA-QPhase

This indicator operates a 90 degree phase shift of
CSSA-Cycles; the peaks and troughs of the cycle line become zero crossings.
Signals are then triggered when the transform breaks through its center line.
Because of the accuracy of the signals, tight stop losses can be kept for even
better results.

CSSA-Oscillator

In addition to generating signals, this centered oscillator
can also be used to confirm developing trends.

CSSA-Percent Variance

The ratio of the variance accounted by a group of cycles to
the total variance in a rolling window is given. Any sudden change in this
ratio can announce that something is amiss with the current trend or that the
current trend is about to change.

CSSA-Coupling Index

This indicator uses the variance accounted by individual
cycles to return a degree of coupling between them. It computes the ratio of
the variance accounted by two components in a rolling window. Any sudden change
in this coupling can be used as a proxy for change.

CSSA-Change Point Score

The degree of change between recent and past price action
(the base) is returned. It can be interpreted as the probability that some
change is likely to occur due to strong causal dependencies in the data. In
other words this indicator reveals hidden dependencies that may announce
significant changes in trend.

CSSA-Turning Levels

Lines are drawn horizontally from the base before an up–move
in CSSA or a peak before a down–move. The purpose of this indicator is to show
where price is liable to find some local support and encounter some local
resistance. The violation of these lines can generate reliable entry points.

CSSA-Flatlines

You might want to stay out when markets settle down and
start to chop; a market moving sideways with very little upward and downward
movement does not provide enough price range to overcome transaction costs.
Sideways coils are also prone to fakeouts and we all know that escaping a
position against a breakout can be expensive due to slippage.

CSSA-Flatlines is a "flatline detector" in
the form of upper and lower thresholds that can be used to identify those

I would be reviewing strategic tips on

how the major currency pairs can be milked. Though I specialize in gbpusd, other pairs

would also be taken into consideration during our analysis.

It has been theorized that your state of mind will dictate your trading methods. Experts in

the field of trading psychology have pinpointed three main states of mind and how each has a

direct effect on a trader's profitability.

These three mind states are "having", "doing" and "being". Psychologists have noted that

those new to trading start with a "having" state of mind. As they gain more experience,

they move on to a "doing" state of mind. The pinnacle of profitability occurs when a trader

moves into the last and final "being" frame of mind.

The "Having" Mind Set
A novice trader may focus primarily on profits. In this "having" state of mind, they are

out of sync with the markets. They are blinded by their obsession to obtain the all mighty

dollar and what it can afford them. Trading is not viewed as a job that must be mastered,

but as a vehicle to escape from a world of mediocrity.

Many traders are in the business to make money, as well as they should be. However, if they

are blinded by greed, they tend to take uncalculated risks. Looking at the potential payoff

without carefully calculating market trends and other factors is a recipe for disaster.

It is impossible to graduate to a high performance level when you concentrate on "having"

instead of how the game is won. If you trade in a "having" frame of mind, you may become

frustrated when profits are not immediately forthcoming. With frustration comes a lack of

focus. Without the ability to focus, you cannot gain knowledge from your experience on the

trading field.

Other negative consequences of this mindset are feelings of frustration and anger.

Frustration stemming from a lack of expected profits and anger directed at oneself or the

market in general. These adverse emotions will only cause further decline in profitability.

Without witnessing gains from one's efforts, an individual may not give their best and may

be tempted to "throw in the towel".

The "Doing" State of Mind
If an individual continues on to trade another day, they will eventually move from a

"having" to a "doing" state of mind. Learning that there is more to trading than the

amassing of money, a trader will turn their focus on learning new methods of trading and

what does and doesn't work.

This state of mind is still primarily centered on how to turn a profit. Although a "doing"

mind state is essential to becoming a seasoned adept trader, the main focus is still short

of the mark. It is crucial to know what works and what doesn't. However, a skilled trader

will tell you there is more to the business then choosing one method and using it

arbitrarily to make trades across the board.

Becoming a trader of means requires not only a winning attitude, but also a fine honing of

trading skills. To develop these skills, you must make trades using various methods under a

wide spectrum of market conditions. Only then can you develop the needed intuition to

master the art of trading.

Pinnacle of Profitability: The "Being" State of Mind
A successful trader almost instinctively knows how to make a trade using the best method

available for the current market trend and/or condition. This ability does not occur

overnight. It is only accomplished through perseverance, knowledge of various trading

methods and learning which one works given a particular market condition.

No trade is ever a "sure thing". However, a profitable synchronicity almost naturally

occurs when you are faced with a potential trade, have a feel for the current market trends

and conditions, and utilize the method best suited for a potential payoff. This "being"

state of mind ultimately lends itself to long-term success in the high stakes of trading.

Our last target on Friday (1.5905) was finally hit, which in itself , was the 60% SELL

WINDOW of the previous trend..I know..I know...everyone says we should sell during price

rallies( rise) when the trend is down but we bought...and 217 pips came out of that

decision.
Now as the time of writing,(5.50 GMT Sunday), price on the GBPUSD 15min closed on Friday

with a bearish candle..
Observe that that close(1.5903) was at the region of the 60% SELL WINDOW, which usually

foretells a turnaround in price...which, in this case, pausing from its prevailing uptrend

to a much probable downtrend.
But the question is ''HOW FAR IS PRICE GOING ON ITS PERCIEVED BEARISH MOVEMENT?
We've, to a considerable extent, determined the direction of GBPUSD on the 15 minute chart,

as bearish...so now, we are looking at HOW FAR this bearish move might likely go..That is

the essence of the CHART PATTERN RECOGNITION AND PRICE PROJECTION STRATEGY.
That , my friends, is what we term the ''60% Beethoven Cantata in B Major''..
Those numbers, 1-2-3 was observed to continue and recur upwards in the prevailing

uptrend...so we extrapolate them on our next anticipated downtrend...

High=1.6326-Low 1.5262=0.1064
0.6*0.1064=0.06384(range)
1.5262+0.06384=1.5900 ( 60% sell window).

high 1.5943 - low 1.5747= 0.0196
0.6*0.0196=0.01176(range)
1.5747+0.01176=1.5865(60% window) 1st target to the downside..

2nd target @ 1.5666...3rd target @ 1.5523....

In less than 4 hours from now, the forex markets will open, with the Asian Session leading

the pack..Only time would tell if our targets are hit...Remember there's no 100% perfection

in the markets..Anything can happen..thats why proper risk management is important..
Proper money management dictates we fix our stop loss above the high of 1.5943, when going

short(selling).tHats like 40 pips above the close of 1.5903.
A bearish gap to the downside might also likely form at the opening bell which shows

oversold orders pouring in the markets..
Please feel free to make any comments or ask questions..

Dracula System - Upgraded and free to test

You can test our system for free by downloading it from http://www.draculasystems.com. My name is Kevin Nelson and I'm pleased to announce the release of LearnMetaStock.com, the exclusive live trainer of MetaStock software. Our goal at LearnMetaStock.com is to help you get what you want out of the program. MetaStock is a very powerful, but complex, program. Most users only scratch the surface of what it can do. Many users become frustrated trying to learn the software and give up on it before they’ve even had a chance to put it to work! That’s where I can really help you. I will guide you every step of the way as you progress from novice user to expert. We typically offer nine live webinar classes a week, held at different times to fit as many different schedules as possible. Our classes are designed for any level of user, whether you’re brand new to MetaStock and need help getting started, or you’re an experienced user but haven’t yet tapped into the real power of MetaStock. Also, our live classes are archived so, if you can’t make it at the scheduled time, you’ll always have a chance to view the recorded class. In addition to that, I’ve been creating “How To” videos on request. These have been very popular and have been a great learning tool for both the students and the teacher!

Following is a
brief overview of the indicators in the CSSA add-on:

CSSA-Cycles This
indicator provides a full wave-composite picture of the market. The cycles are
designed to be a direct reflection of the price action so that they don't lag.
In other words, you will be able to quickly anticipate turning points
independently of the time-frame.

CSSA-Slope and Trendlines
These indicators are derivatives from CSSA-Cycles; they are particularly useful
in identifying and confirming the direction of momentum behind a move.

CSSA-Long and Short Entries Signals
are triggered by CSSA-Cycles from its bases and peaks. A lead and smoothing
features have been added to compensate for inherent execution lags so that you
can make the most of each market move.

CSSA-QPhase This
indicator operates a 90 degree phase shift of CSSA-Cycles; the peaks and
troughs of the cycle line become zero crossings. Signals are then triggered
when the transform breaks through its center line.

CSSA-Oscillator In
addition to generating signals, this centered oscillator can also be used to
confirm developing trends.

CSSA-Percent Variance
The ratio of the variance accounted by a group of cycles to the total variance
in a rolling window is given. Any sudden change in this ratio can announce that
something is amiss with the current trend or that the current trend is about to
change.

CSSA-Coupling
Index This indicator uses the variance accounted by individual
cycles to return a degree of coupling between them. It computes the ratio of
the variance accounted by two components in a rolling window. Any sudden change
in this coupling can be used as a proxy for change.

CSSA-Change Point Score The degree of change between
recent and past price action (the base) is returned. It can be interpreted as

I sure am making financially sound decisions with the mentorship of successful investors who use the best resources on websites like this one. Mastering all the beneficial information available, along with setting a realistic goal, investment plan, risk/reward ratios, has been challenging on my end. And should your objective be the same as mine in developing good mental, emotional, and psychological habits are as crucial as patience and discipline and can only be accomplished with the proper attitude. And if the proper attitude is not correctly maintained, it can cause one to lose one of the most important resources of all—time. With only 24 hours in a day, once the minute, hour, or day is gone it can not be replenished. Choosing how, why, and when we manage our money with today’s efficient markets is important. Profit opportunities are eliminated almost instantaneously and timing is essential to ensure a profit while avoiding a loss. So by sharing our thoughts in a team effort maybe we can spend more time winning and enjoying the things most important in our lives.

My main word this week has been "Caution". Since the VIX Index looks ready to soar. And here is a chart maybe that will help spread the word. Go to www.lightninglive.com and you can see Lightning Strikes live schedule for free.

online-stock-quotes

However, while the newsletter does teach coding, it has progressed way beyond just learning to use the formula language more effectively.

Since the first issue when the evolution began, MSTT has become a true MetaStock users newsletter, with many unique indicators, system tester insights, exploration development advice and trading information from a variety of people that will change the way you view trading and how money is made in the markets.

With hundreds of subscribers he receives feedback on a regular basis, and is pleased to say that more than 99.9% of the feedback is not only positive, it's supportive, enthusiastic and complementary regarding how the MSTT information has improved the subscriber's trading. Roy states, "That's all I could have hoped for, so I encourage you to become one of the many subscribers who have discovered what I believe to be the best MetaStock tool on the market."

For more information, please check out the MetaStock Tips & Tools website here: http://www.metastocktips.co.nz/
Equis International Online Community contact: Roy Larsen

Heikin Ashi4MetaStock

Heikin Ashi4MetaStock

Heikin Ashi4MetaStock is a software program that allows Metastock users to create and update Heikin Ashi data files in MetaStock. The program creates data files with modified open, high, low, close values and according to the computation rules for Heikin-ashi trend technique. Once these data files are created/updated, they can be displayed as Heikin Ashi trend charts in Metastock using the candlestick representation.

The directory with the original data files will not be modified. The program creates a new directory containing all the securities of the original directory and modifies the open, high, low and close values. As soon as you add new records to the original data directory Heikin Ashi4MetaStock will recognize the changes and will automatically update the data files in directory containing the Heikin Ashi values.

You can update the original MetaStock directory with any program you want. Heikin Ashi4MetaStock automatically detects the changes and will update the MetaStock directory containing the Heikin Ashi values. So you always have two consistent MetaStock directories although you have to service only one MetaStock directory. One directory contains the original the OHLC values, the second one contains the modified OHLC values.

For more information, please check out the MasterDATA website here: http://www.trading-tools.com/heikin-ashi-for-metastock.htm
Equis International Online Community contact: Chris3105

Dynamic Market Lab

Dynamic Market Lab

The following advertisement was prepared by Brad Ulrich:

We are a company with products and services for the Metastock Platform. We have worked the past couple of years on creating a set of tools that we feel are in much demand for the Metastock Platform. Our mission has lead us to create these tools, and we have offered them through our website, and they have been the topic of conversation here of this MS Forum, as well as others...we have also had a Software Review (receiving 4 of 4 stars) in the November 2005 issue of Futures Magazine, by Rob Keener, of Keener Capital Management. Some of you have already heard of us, and have hopefully found our products to be of good use. We have also made some improvements and additions since our first release...if you downloaded a trial over 3 months ago, we will be glad to issue you a renewal with the new tools.

We are giving away a FREE set of adaptive indicators, called ASI.

These indicators are just like traditional Metastock indicators, except that can take an ARRAY or VARIABLE for the number of lookback periods, as opposed to a CONSTANT, as is the case with the traditional Metastock Indicators.

These ASI functions have a broad range of applications, and have so far been embraced by many of the advanced Metastock Users out there, including a mention in Roy Larsen's Newsletter. The Forum Crew here has also worked a developing a similar (although not as complete and fast) set of functions included in the forum dll. This serves as evidence that these indicators are useful.

If you are not using the ASI DLL (or another set of adaptive indicators) and more importantly, if you do not understand their implications, you are missing what we believe to be a large area of research and development in Metastock Indicator programming. And their free, so why not check them out? The manual you get with the ADSI trial contains some background discussion of why you should be using adaptive indicators.

The DML also offers a package of Signal Processing Indicators called ADSI.

These indicators implement the indicators created and described by John Ehlers in his two books, Rocket Science For Traders (Wiley, 2001) and Cybernetic Analysis For Stocks and Futures (Wiley, 2004).

John Ehlers research is based mainly on signal processing and engineering math. He works closely with cycle and trend based indicators that measure cycle periods adaptively. This set of indicators will help you to utlize some of the benefits of this math:

1.) faster and smoother indicators with less lag than traditional ones AND a statistically correct.
2.) Cycle and Trend Indicators that work seperately when the market is trend, cycling, or stagnating.
3.) Statistically correct extreme price measurements with clear turning points.

Some of the 30+ indicators include:

- Laguerre Filters
- A new and faster version of MAMA/FAMA
- Ehlers' Sinewave Indicator (including a faster version from Cybernetics)
- Ehlers' Cybernetic Cycle Period function
- Signal-to-noise ratio

Along with the actual ExtFml("ADSI.xxx") functions, you get over 60 Metastock Indicators that automatically load into Metastock. These indicators include examples of all of the ASI and ADSI functions, as well examples that match those in the manual, other indicators programmed with ASI (KAMA, VIDYA, etc.), and ones based on Ehlers' work, and our extensions of his work.

All of the ASI and ADSI indicators are programmed as C++ DLLs using highly optimized code. The run extremely fast, and work very well for Intra-day, tick data, and any other laborious calculations.

You can obtain the ASI Indicators, as well as the free trial of the ADSI indicators here: http://thedml.com/trials.php

With the trial download you get a 90+ page manual.

NOTE: Early Trial users may not have received this manual, so we encournage you to come back for another try if you originally downloaded a trial without the manual.

The manual has primers on Adaptive Indicators and Ehlers Theory. It also contains technical documentation for all indicators, as well as chapters on programming tips, creating custom indicators, and developing trading strategies and systems. Remember, the manual has a large amount of its content dedicated to ASI, and you can keep the manual to help you with ASI, just for trying out ADSI.

We encourage you to check out our user forum (through our home page, and not quite as grand as this one!!!) where our growing user base is working together to expand on our original tools. We are working on developing end-user tools (Expert Advisors and System Tests) through our open discussion forum, and although it is just starting, we are having good luck!

The full, non-expiring copy of ADSI is $395.

Also, we do provide software services, including Metastock indicator, system, and dll development. We also provide programming services, including indicator and system development and testing for Amibroker, InteractiveBrokers' TWS, MATLAB, etc.

For more information, please check out the MasterDATA website here: http://www.thedml.com/
Equis International Online Community contact: Brad Ulrich

Daedalus

Daedalus Add-on

Daedalus is a Metastock® add-on providing both basic and advanced Technical Analysis tools that help identify possible profitable trading opportunities. Trend Toolbox is a sophisticated MetaStock plug-in module for working with automatic trend lines not only on price data but also on any indicator or data array. It's fast trend detection algorithm helps you find tradeable breakout candidates in real time as well as end of day with the ability to define trend line minimum touching points and tolerance. Besides automatic trend line drawing, Trend Toolbox can also be used for curve fitting & data smoothing using Polynomial function. Trend Toolbox has three functions: Line, Signals and Polynomial.

For more information, please check out the Trend Toolbox website here: http://www.traderhelp.net/products/ttbox.html
Equis International Online Community contact: Umit
