Is volume information available in MetaStock Pro FX 10?

I'm currently evaluating MetaStock Pro FX 10 and observed that volume is not reported in a data window. Also, it seems that obv() (On Balance Volume) function always returns 0. Does it mean that volume information is not available in FX version? Thanks.

FX Opening Range

Any one here using the Opening Range with their FX trading? Looking to a starting/ending time point to establish an opening range. 9am EST for Monday through Friday? Sunday is a little funky with a late afternoon start (my timezone). Open to any help on what you may have found to work.

Moving Average Question

I need to draw upon the wealth of knowledge here. I want to plot a simple 14 day MA that ends 14 days ago and compare it to a simple 14 day MA ending today. Would I write the first one as Mov(ref(c,-14),14,s)? Any ideas and thanks for the help.

I can't suscribe to new data on QuoteCenter

I've got Metastock Pro FX & and Quote Center with the forex data feed.
I'd like to suscribe to futures data and I think that "QuoteCenter Worldwide Futures, Commodities & Derivatives Data" would suit my needs.

But when I click on the "order now" button, I'm redirected to the "order QuoteCenter Add-Ons" page. I click on "Continue" and it tells me that my cart is empty...

Is that because I've got Metastock FX and not Metastock Pro ?

Trailing stop help

In indicator builder, how would I program a basic trailing stop. In pseudo type language
( after buy signal put a stop 20 ticks below low of last 3 bars, then after 1 period put stop 20 ticks below the low)

so in a uptrend, the stop would be 20 ticks below the low of the previous bar. hope this makes sense, any help would be appreciated

Hi folks, I realize I am new. I apologize for asking before giving, but I need some help.

I need to create 2 formulas for buy/sell alerts... as follows:

A sell alert when Close is below the following EMA's (combined) for at least 1 bar (candlestick)
13, 30, 50, 100, 200 and the following formual already in MetaStock Experts as - Cross(Mov(MACD(),9,E),MACD())

A buy alert when Close is above the following EMA's (combined) for at least 1 bar (candlestick)

13, 30, 50, 100, 200 and the following formual already in MetaStock Experts as - Cross(MACD(),Mov(MACD(),9,E))

I really appreciate any help on this.

Usefull software for combining with metastock

Its all about money management and while with metastock you can analyze the market you can use this software to do money management very fast. It seems that Metastock can plot stop, entry and target from this on a chart and in combination with metatrader is excellent.

Forex Symbols Help Needed

Hi all, I'm using MS pro 9.1 with esignal as the datafeed..

(I know there's a seperate forum for that but after comparing the posts from there a this forum, the question seems more appriate for here)

Anyway, I tried creating the new security files in the downloader, but when I tries downloading the data, it didn't work.

The symbols I was using are the same as in eSignal, for example:

AUD A0-FX = Aussie Dollar/U.S. Dollar

So the question is, if this is not the correct symbol fornat, where or how do I find the correct one?

Otherwise, if that is correct, what did I do wrong?

Sometimes i get 2 or 3 results with experts on the system tester that more or less have the same amount of profit. I was thinking of adding those 3 experts on a pair on 3 different charts. Is that a good way to do it?

Alerts and System Tester

How do you get rid of the alerts...they keep popping up? When i click remove alert from chart it goes away but that removes it from the chart. Is that the only way? And when i do some tests on the enhanced system tester some of the results for equity are just plotted as a straight line going up with no break just straight up. Is that normal and i guess that would be a good system?

I am having trouble with eod data for forex. It will not update until the next day. For example today is May 21 7pm est but the charts still have the candle for May 20. I tried refresh, logging out and in....etc and nothing works. Any help?
