A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) can help you save money on health care costs. You can set aside up to $5,000 in pre-tax dollars to pay for your annual medical expenses not covered by your company’s health insurance plan.
There’s one hitch, which is called the “use-it-or-lose it” rule: once you agree to contribute a certain dollar amount for the year, you have to use up that amount by the end of the year, or else forfeit the remaining funds to your employer.
