Also 1 pip is not always equal to 0.0001 ... Unless you only trade the EURUSD ... But you may have to create a little more code to figure out that value then multiply it by 9 or 50 or whatever ...The next problem you will run into is that the simulation will not be valid if you are not using tick data and even then I would not trust the results ...

It means you do not have esignal installed on your computer and that you installed metastock to use esignal as your real time data provider. If indeed you use esignal as your data vendor, go to www.esignal.com and download their software. Patrick

This is the right forum for this post ... This doesn't seem to work where a long exit is the same signal as a short entry, as B goes directly from +1 to -1. If you are using an expert I would simply tell you to move both the entry signals above the exit signals so that in your expert the order is similar to : Enter Long Enter Short Exit ...

To avoid this you can use another more risky following code(which i have seen being used in somebody else's code):=A:= PREVIOUS; If(Ref(LOW,-4)=LLV(LOW,9),Ref(LOW,-4),A); A; LLV(LOW,9) that is for sure more risky :P  But if you want even more risky, the best formulae I have ever created is this. ...

One more thing comes to mind ... I guess you are using XP right? If yes try changing the compatibilty mode. Right click on the downloader shortcut and select properties, click on the compatibilty tab and change it to run under windows 2000 compatibility mode and check the option called ''disable visual themes'' see if that helps at all. Can you recall if you ever downloaded version 7.2 at some point to fix problems ... I remember Equis gave 7.2 for free because of some problems with the old downloader ... This version is so old that I really can't remember anything specific sorry

  • Re: Re: check x axis

You must have locked temp files ... Close MetaStock and the downloader then click on start, search and type : ~msfl.* Delete all the files you will find. Run your conversion again just in case ... Then try to open one of the files in the downloader and check the last date on it. Patrick
