hi there, I was able to get a GICS breakdown from metastock but only for Sector/industry indices. Now it would be helpful to have individual stock symbols in folders based on their GICS code (L2 preferrably). Anyone know where I can find such a directory structure to download ???

Thanks and you are probably right, but in this case it was user error. I used the default data CD that came with Metastock and apparently you have to download a symbol updater from http://www.equis.com/customer/support/download/symbolutility.aspx Wish that was documented a little better and I didnt have to raise a support case but cest la vie.

I found a way to do it for future ref. From Explorer, double click the exploration you wish to perform and select Options from THAT window. It will allow you to do either ''Most recent'' or set a date and it tests all data prior to that date.
